Hoare Bros Transports Leopard Tank to Canberra

A retired army tank has been given a new home at the burnt out Canberra Services Club in Manuka. A 35 year old retired Leopard Tank was transported by Hoare Bros to the Manuka Service Club as part of a government initiative to pay tribute to service persons.

A tricky job involving heavy coordination with traffic controls and logistics to have the tank into position safely.

The tank was transported from the Bandiana Army Base Wodonga to Manuka in the ACT.

GEELONG GREYHOUND TRACK CIVIL WORKS

Works are coming to a close at the Geelong Greyhound Track. A great effort and good result for our customers and we were mentioned significantly at the opening ceremony. Hoare Bros has some minor remedial works to complete to put the final touches to a great facility for the community and Greyhound Racing Victoria.

BRODERICK ROAD CORIO SHELL GAS MAIN CROSSING CIVIL WORKS

Hoare Bros have been involved in extensive planning and approvals process to install assets under the Shell high pressure gas main in Corio as part of an industrial subdivision. A particularly challenging job due to the strategic and hazardous nature of the gas main – Hoare Bros worked extremely well with the Shell officials and other stakeholders.

BENDIGO GREYHOUND TRACK CIVIL WORKS

We have recently won the tender for civil construction works at the Bendigo Greyhound Track and have a key role in upgrading the track. Hoare Bros look forward to working in the local community and with Greyhound Racing Victoria.

The project involves stripping existing topsoil and salvaging sand, installation of drainage, conduits and drains, earthworks to redevelop the track, concreting and road works.

MINING PROJECTS

Hoare Bros continues to obtain business in the mining industry with projects in Central Queensland and the Victorian Goldfields. A rewarding experience where we obtain great experience working with Australia’s leading mining companies. We also have the privilege to support local businesses and community groups.

PLANT HIRE

Hoare Bros is now operating in a large number of cities throughout Australia via its mobile plant and equipment hire service – in particular we have a number of customers who hire our services to move and stack fertilizer as it arrives at various ports around Australia.

GEELONG GREYHOUND TRACK CIVIL WORKS

We have recently won the tender for civil construction works at the Geelong Greyhound Track and have a key role in upgrading the infrastucture of the new track. Hoare Bros look forward to working in the local Geelong community and with Greyhound Racing Victoria.

GEELONG RACING TRACK - STORMWATER HARVESTING

Work is close to final completion on the stormwater harvesting project. The race track dams will receive valuable water harvested from existing storm water drains. An integral part of the project was the construction of a holding dam opposite the Geelong Showgrounds.

Construction of this dam was done by Heath Hutchinson who also constructed a holding dam at City of Greater Geelong's Anakie Rd Depot - again to retain stormwater for reuse. Excavations of this nature require to good deal of skill to ensure embankments and beaching are done to specification. This is a good example of the skills held within our company.

CIVIL CONSTRUCTION PAKINGTON ST, GEELONG

Works are well underway for the reshaping of the intersection at Pakington St and Church St in Geelong West. Quite a techncial job with conduiting being laid to the traffic lights as well as some strict management of work being done at night. Well done to those crews as working at night is quite hazardous.
